The Marine Corps Marathon is the 5th largest marathon in the US and 10th in the world. Since its inception, over 300,000 civilian and military runners from all walks of life have participated, deservingly earning the event its nickname 'The People's Marathon.' The Marine Corps Marathon continues a combined tradition of dedication, sportsmanship and patriotism. For those of you not quite up to the 26 miles, there is also a 10K Road Race, which is a 6 mile trek from the national mall to the Marine Corps War Memorial.
We invite you to run on Team Swab-a-Cheek, or support us by making a donation.
Each runner is asked to raise a minimum of $500, plus the Marine Corps Marathon registration fee of $88 for the marathon or $45 for the 10K Road Race. Funds raised by participants will support Swab a Cheek, Save a Life’s mission: to enroll committed minority bone marrow donors so that everyone who needs a bone marrow transplant has an equal opportunity to find a donor in the world wide bone marrow registry.

Marathon: Runners Village in the Pentagon North Parking Lot
10K: The all new MCM 10K will start on the DC side of the Potomac. For the first time, a start arch will be placed in the nation's capital, as the runners begin their six mile trek from the national mall to the Marine Corps War Memorial. Details to follow...

| The Healthy Kids Fun Run will be held at the North Pentagon Parking lot.
